Department of Planning, Developing and Quality Assurance

Overview


The Planning Department came to deepen the quality culture amongst the employees and fortify development and modernization concepts, building and qualifying human capabilities in planning, development, and quality control.

The Department has organized and enhanced all information and statistics related to the Academy to build a comprehensive database through which studies can be conducted, provided the necessary information to complete the tasks of the administrative units as well as those facilities and related services which support the academic process.

Furthermore, it contributes to improving the performance of the Academy and enhances its competitive capabilities at the national, regional, and international levels, and ensuring its application of accreditation, quality systems, standards, and ensuring that the goals of the Academy are achieved in corresponding with the policies and strategies that have been set, in addition to strengthening the required infrastructure.

Department Tasks:


  1. Preparing and developing of the academic and administrative structures in coordination with the concerned departments.
  2. Developing job description and evaluation tools and carrying out analysis, description and evaluation of jobs in the Academy.
  3. Preparing forms and questionnaires and conducting the necessary interviews to carry out the required studies.
  4. Collect data, statistics and information from various sources that serve the purposes of the department.
  5. Participate in preparing the strategic plan for the Academy, and follow up the implementation of its projects in coordination with the concerned authorities.
  6. Participate in the study of administrative and organizational problems presented to administrative development and suggest appropriate solutions.
  7. Participate in studying work methods and procedures at the Academy.
  8. Built methods for total quality management which correspond with the academic privacy.
  9. Preparing a comprehensive quality program for all operations and activities at the Academy.
  10. Design and develop objective quality standards to measure performance.
  11. Supervising and following up all the works of King Abdullah II Award for Excellence in Governmental Performance , Transparency and the Innovative Initiative.

Department's organizational structure.


The Department of Planning, Developing and Quality Control included the following divisions:

  1. Evaluation Division

    Prepare, organize, and implement audit process, prepare evaluation standards and performance indicators for the academic and administrative work system. Also, it contributes to employing the instruments of measurement and evaluation, preparing annual performance reports based on the evaluation process

  2. Planning and Quality Division
    • Participate in the planning and implementing quality activities of the Academy to correspond with local and international standards.
    • Participate in collecting data, statistics and information from various sources that serve the department and the Academy.
    • Participate in studying, preparing, developing organizational and administrative structures, participating in designing the strategic plan and implementing its projects.
    • Participate in preparing the quarterly report to follow up on the quarterly evaluation of the strategic plan.
  3. Industry Communication Division and Graduate Follow-up:

    Organizing many training courses and workshops, including contractual courses from the public and private sectors, and making several field visits to industrial institutions to promote the Industry Communication Division's activities. Additionally, it contributes to introducing the industry sector to the specializations in the Academy and its scarcity, introducing the faculty staff and students in the Academy to the industry sector, and creating communication links between students and industry to get to know on industry problems, and job opportunities for academy graduates in industrial and local institutions.
